At JAP Motors, we aim to help our customers save money. Rather than using high-pressure sales tactics to get people to buy new engines, we offer our quality engine reconditioning services that allow you to keep your existing engine unit and pay for only the new parts that you need.

Used and Reconditioned Engines

We supply and fit a wide range of high-quality reconditioned and used engines. Our shop sources locally in Townsville and throughout Australia. We’re also happy to ship our engines Australia-wide. Our team is able to give a range of warranty options to our customers due to the reliability of our engine sources. We supply engines from Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, Hyundai and many more.

Engine Reconditioning

In-house engine reconditioning is available at our shop. We are able to source engines to recondition, or we can rebuild your engine upon request. All of our reconditioned engines are on an exchange basis and require you to have your old unit. New parts are used throughout, such as pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, valves and more. Our reconditioned engines are assembled bare and occasionally with a new water pump and timing components.

Gearboxes

We supply and install a wide range of gearboxes and transfers for Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Mazda and more. We specialise in used or reconditioned manual gearboxes and are able to supply automatic transmissions as well. We recondition customer gearboxes in our workshop and also have reconditioned stock on the shelf for convenience. These are all available on an exchange basis.

Cylinder Heads

We supply and install cylinder heads for makes such as Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, some Fords and more. We are also able to machine your cylinder head-face flat in our workshop and can perform pressure and crack testing. If your cylinder head is damaged beyond reconditioning, we can supply a new replacement for you. Along with new cylinder heads, we supply new valves, gasket sets, head gaskets, rocker arms and more to complete a top-end rebuild.
